🍳 Caprese Salad Recipe
A fresh, colorful Italian salad made with ripe tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil — drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Simple, healthy, and bursting with flavor!
🍽 Ingredients (Serves 2–4):
- 3 medium ripe tomatoes (or cherry tomatoes), sliced
- 8 oz (200g) fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced or cubed
- A handful of fresh basil leaves
- 2–3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar (or to taste)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper
🥗 Instructions:
1. Prepare the Ingredients
- Wash and slice the tomatoes.
- Cut the mozzarella into slices or cubes.
- Rinse the basil leaves and pat them dry.
2. Arrange the Salad
- On a serving plate or platter, alternate slices of tomato and mozzarella.
- Tuck fresh basil leaves between the slices or scatter them on top.
3. Drizzle with Dressing
- Drizzle olive oil evenly over the salad.
- Add balsamic vinegar.
- Season lightly with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
4. Serve Chilled or at Room Temperature
- Let it sit for 10 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to blend.
