A classic comfort food โ crispy, buttery bread filled with melted cheese. Perfect for lunch, a quick snack, or even breakfast!
๐ฝ Ingredients (Serves 1):
- 2 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
- 1โ2 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, Swiss, or your favorite)
- 1โ2 tablespoons unsalted butter (softened)
๐ณ Instructions:
1. Butter the Bread
- Spread softened butter on the outside of both slices of bread. This helps them get golden and crispy.
2. Add the Cheese
- Place one slice of bread, butter-side down, onto a skillet or griddle over medium-low heat.
- Layer the cheese slices evenly on top.
3. Cook Until Golden & Melty
- Cook for about 2โ3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown.
- Flip carefully with a spatula and cook the other side for another 2โ3 minutes, pressing lightly to help the cheese melt.
4. Serve Hot
- Remove from the pan and let it cool for a minute before cutting in half.
