🥪 Tuna Melt Recipe
A classic comfort sandwich made with a creamy tuna salad topped with cheese and toasted to golden, melty perfection. Quick, easy, and totally delicious!

🍽 Ingredients (Serves 1):
1 (5 oz / 140g) can tuna, drained
2 tablespoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard or relish (optional)
Salt and black pepper, to taste
2 slices of bread (white, sourdough, or whole wheat)
1–2 slices of cheddar or American cheese
🍳 Instructions:

  1. Mix the Tuna Salad
    In a small bowl, combine the drained tuna, mayonnaise, mustard or relish, salt, and pepper.
    Mix well until fully combined.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich
    Spread the tuna mixture evenly on one slice of bread.
    Top with cheese slices, then place the second slice of bread on top.
  3. Toast the Sandwich
    Option 1 – On a Pan / Griddle:
    Heat a skillet over medium-low heat. Butter the outside of both slices of bread. Cook for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and the cheese is melted.
    Option 2 – Using a Toaster Oven or Air Fryer:
    Place the sandwich in the toaster oven or air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5–7 minutes, until the bread is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
  4. Serve & Enjoy
    Cut the sandwich in half and serve warm with chips, pickles, or a simple salad.
