🥑 Avocado Toast with Egg
A simple, healthy, and delicious breakfast or snack that takes just a few minutes to make.
Ingredients (Serves 1):
1 slice of bread (sourdough or whole grain recommended)
½ ripe avocado
1 egg (fried, scrambled, or boiled – your choice!)
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Optional: chili flakes, lemon juice, olive oil, or red pepper slices
Instructions:
Toast the Bread:
Place the bread slice in a toaster or on a pan and toast until golden and crispy.
Mash the Avocado:
While the bread is toasting, cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh.
Mash it in a small bowl with a fork. Add a squeeze of lemon juice (optional), salt, and pepper.
Prepare the Egg:
Fry, scramble, or boil the egg according to your preference.
Assemble:
Spread the mashed avocado evenly over the toasted bread.
Top with the cooked egg.
Season & Serve:
Sprinkle with more salt, black pepper, and chili flakes if you like.
