A quick, colorful, and healthy dish made with fresh vegetables tossed in a savory sauce. Ready in under 20 minutes – perfect for any meal!
🍽 Ingredients (Serves 2–3):
For the stir-fry:
1 tablespoon vegetable oil or sesame oil
1 cup broccoli florets
1 carrot, julienned or sliced
½ red bell pepper, sliced
½ onion, sliced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
¼ cup frozen peas (optional)
For the sauce:
2 tablespoons soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional)
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce or honey (for sweetness)
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon cornstarch (to thicken)
¼ cup water
🍳 Instructions:
- Prepare the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix all the sauce ingredients until well combined. Set aside. - Cook the Vegetables
Heat the oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
Add garlic and ginger, sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add harder vegetables first (broccoli, carrots) and stir-fry for 3–4 minutes.
Add softer veggies (bell pepper, onion, peas) and cook for another 2–3 minutes until tender-crisp. - Add the Sauce
Pour the sauce into the pan and stir well to coat all the vegetables.
Cook for another 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens and glazes the veggies. - Serve
Serve hot over steamed rice, quinoa, or noodles.
