🍲 Quick Low-Fat Lentil Soup Recipe

A healthy, hearty, and easy-to-make soup packed with plant-based protein and fiber. Ready in under 30 minutes — perfect for a comforting yet light meal!


🍽 Ingredients (Serves 2–3):

  • ½ cup red lentils (rinsed well)
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 celery stalk, diced
  • 1 tsp olive oil or water (for sautéing)
  • 1½ cups vegetable broth (or water)
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • ¼ tsp turmeric (for color and anti-inflammatory benefits)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Juice of ½ lemon (optional, for brightness)
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro for garnish (optional)

🍳 Instructions:

1. Sauté the Aromatics

  • In a medium pot, heat olive oil or water over medium heat.
  • Add onions, garlic, carrots, and celery. Sauté for 3–4 minutes until softened.

2. Add Lentils & Liquids

  • Stir in rinsed lentils, vegetable broth (or water), cumin, and turmeric.
